Information Event for Migrant Employers
23 June, 5:30pm at the Chamber

With labour shortages being one of the biggest barriers to business currently, this is your opportunity to get the latest information on the rapidly changing situation around immigration.

June Ranson works very closely with government on immigration policy on behalf of business interests and is NZ Association for Migration & Investment Chair. We are lucky to have her involvement as a Board Member and CEO of local business, Woburn International.

At this event, June will explain these important changes to immigration policy, as part of the Government's 'immigration reset'. This is your chance to get clarification and ask questions. Find out more and book here.

In case you missed it ...

With five nominations for our Board this year and only three Board positions available, it was a tight race. Special thanks to everyone who put themselves forward for our Board including Wayne Gazley and Lisa Kinghorn who missed out by the smallest of margins.

The new Board met later in the week and decided to co-opt three additional Board Members for the coming year. See the full Board here.

Special thanks also to Karen Smart from NZ Home Loans & Insurance and Mike Baxter from Forsyth Barr for being scrutineers at last week's AGM. They carefully counted (and recounted) all the votes for us including the tied results. Read the story here and see the photos.
