Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce CEO
We are looking for someone special to take the reins from Helen and step into the role of CEO. Do have a background in commercial business management? Are you able to identify and build strategic partnerships while championing and supporting the local business community? Are you a team player as well as a strong leader? If this sounds like you, we would love to meet you. Find out more about the role and how to apply here.
In case you missed it ...With five nominations for our Board this year and only three Board positions available, it was a tight race. Special thanks to everyone who put themselves forward for our Board including Wayne Gazley and Lisa Kinghorn who missed out by the smallest of margins. The new Board met later in the week and decided to co-opt three additional Board Members for the coming year. See the full Board here. Special thanks also to Karen Smart from NZ Home Loans & Insurance and Mike Baxter from Forsyth Barr for being scrutineers at last week's AGM. They carefully counted (and recounted) all the votes for us including the tied results. Read the story here and see the photos.
Helen would like to thank everyone who has sent her lovely messages on the announcement of her resignation. And of course we are now looking for a new CEO to take us forward, so do apply. More information here. In the meantime, have a great long weekend everyone. Looking forward to seeing you at an event soon. - Helen and the Chamber Team
Thank you to all our Partners As always, special thanks to all our Members and Partners for your ongoing support.
