Our brand new Business Training Programme kicked off last week, with the Hon Chris Hipkins in attendance for the launch. In conjunction with Platinum Partner Open Polytechnic, we're helping businesses upskill their teams with free NZQA qualifications. Last week was also the introduction of the first workshop in a new Digital Marketing Series. Silver Partner, Synthesis Marketing is helping businesses gain confidence in their online marketing, with a series of free, in-person training events. More on that below.

Upper Hutt is home to a large business base including high technology data centres, food manufacturers, medical engineers, logistics hubs, a major Defence base, and more. The Upper Hutt City Council offers a range of business incentive grants to support economic development across the city.

RiverLink Update: 2 September, 5:30-7:30pm
Preregistrations ARE OPEN
With the consent lodged, RiverLink is gaining momentum.
This is a major step forward and it will give the green light for localised demolition work to begin as early as September 2021.
An estimated $700m has been invested in this major infrastructure project which will transform Lower Hutt to become a river city. There will be a huge amount of works underway, with the affected area spanning from Kennedy Good Bridge through to Ewen Bridge.
In the second of our RiverLink events for 2021, we're giving the business community the latest information on what to expect and the opportunity to voice your concerns. (The submission period will be open from towards the end of August to mid September.)
