EVENTS COMING UPFind Out More About RiverLink and Have Your Say
Open Day: This Saturday, 13 February 2021RiverLink is one of the largest and most complex capital projects in Lower Hutt's history. It's important for businesses to understand and be prepared for the impact of the build project as well as the end result. This year we are partnering with RiverLink to ensure the business community is informed and engaged and our needs are considered. The consenting phase is currently underway, with consent applications to be lodged in mid-2021. Construction is scheduled to start in late 2022 and be completed in 2026.
Once completed, RiverLink will greatly improve flood protection for central Lower Hutt. The project also aims to stimulate the urban renewal of the central city and significantly upgrade transport connections and safety for all modes in the area via the Melling interchange and proposed pedestrian bridge. This is your opportunity to find out more firsthand and provide your feedback at the next Open Day at Lower Hutt Events Centre on Saturday, 13 February at 9am.
