The Hutt Valley economy is set to get a boost as the RiverLink project progresses. On a positive note, the Hutt Valley Chamber Of Commerce is very excited to announce that we have appointed a new CEO. His name is Patrick McKibbin and he will start his role on 27 September 2021. Patrick has worked closely with the Hutt Valley Chamber Of Commerce for the past 3 years
in his role at the Ministry Of Education where he has worked with us on our Education to Employment Programme. We wish Patrick every success in his new role as CEO, and I am sure he looks forward to meeting all of you in the near future. RiverLink UpdateThe RiverLink project was formally notified on 25 August 2021, which means that consents for RiverLink have been lodged to Hutt City Council and Greater Wellington Regional Council to jointly process.
Formal submissions will close on Wednesday, 22 September 2021. If you would like to make a formal submission, follow this link, or give your feedback to us at ceo@hvchamber.org.nz. There will be a large reduction in available parks in the Riverbank carpark as a result of this

It's great to be back to Alert Level 2. Whilst this is good for many businesses - there are still a lot of local businesses in hospitality, retail and beyond that need our support.
