Hi As I get out and about across the Hutt Valley, I feel like there are so many exciting projects and initiatives underway. These initiatives and projects will create jobs, help businesses thrive, improve infrastructure and transport, and topically with COP26 happening on the other side of the world, they will support businesses towards a more sustainable future. Just some of the things are: · Riverlink
· A new film studio for Upper Hutt
· Upper Hutt City Council’s Economic Development Stimulus Policy
· Hutt City Council’s Community Climate Change Response
· Cross Valley Connection
· Upper Hutt City Council’s Sustainability Grant. You can read more about some of these initiatives in this issue of our weekly update. Finally a big shout out to our Gold Member of the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce, Youth Inspire. They support young people in the Hutt Valley into education, employment, and training. You can read more about one of their pieces of work in this newsletter. I think you will agree their work is truly inspiring. If you are keen to give me any feedback or suggestions just let me know at patrick@hvchamber.org.nz Thanks Patrick McKibbin

The Delta Buster is continuing to vaccinate people around the Hutt Valley region. Below is the schedule for week 3 for the Delta Buster.

At all levels of the new Traffic Light System, businesses, retail, and public facilities will generally be able to remain open for vaccinated people. Businesses, events, organisations, community, and a range of sectors may legally choose to implement a vaccination entry requirement for customers. If a business, organisation or service does not wish to request proof of vaccination, they will have to operate with strict limits on capacity and space requirements. They may need to close in
Orange and/or Red levels. To learn more about Vaccine Certificates requirements under the Traffic Light System levels click here. Accessing the Government Financial SupportWAGE SUBSIDY #6 Applications for Wage Subsidy #6 opened at 9am Friday, 29 October and closes at 11.59pm, Thursday, 11 November.
