'Immigration Reset'

If your business needs the skills and expertise of people from overseas, you need to know how to work within the rapidly changing immigration rules and environment.
June Ranson works very closely with government on immigration policy on behalf of business interests and is NZ Association for Migration & Investment Chair. We are lucky to have her expertise as CEO of local business, Woburn International, as well as her involvement on our Board.

Spotlight on Climate Change: 7 July 2021
5:30-7:30pm at Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce
The Hutt Valley Chamber will be hosting a Spotlight on Climate Change event in early July.
The Climate Change Commission report highlights the need for us to start addressing this issue, build awareness around what is required of business, share ideas and look for opportunities to work together.

It's great to be back with our very popular Tech After 5 series, in conjunction with Platinum Partner, BNZ. The Tech After 5 series of events is provided as part of the Hutt Valley Chamber's Manufacturing and Technology Programme for 2021.
At this event you will hear from three hi-tech technology and manufacturing companies across the valley sharing their stories and experiences. Always a very inspiring and interesting evening, uncovering some of the hidden gems of our local business community.

Advocating for Hutt Valley Business
Sourcing new industrial space across the Hutt Valley is a serious challenge for our manufacturing and technology sector.
With global supply issues continuing to worsen and expected to do so for the foreseeable future, local manufacturing is even more crucial to our economy.
Based on our research, the Chamber is raising the profile of the needs of the manufacturing sector by advocating strongly for local and central government to ensure spatial planning in our regions and cities includes the needs of this sector.
The Chamber has been driving considerable media coverage for this issue, with numerous stories across national and local press, including a front page story in this month's NZ Manufacturer and recently in the Dominion Post, stuff and The Hutt News.
