Advocating for BusinessYour Chamber regularly advocates on behalf of business. Just last week your Chamber spoke to media about the negative impacts to business as a result of changes Wellington City Council is making on parking and vehicle use in the central city. These constant changing rules and regulations just add more pressure to business.
Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Helen Down told stuff these changes also affected the wider Wellington region; “The environment is becoming so hard to run a business in, because there's so much change, and it's changing constantly." Read the rest of the story here.
Your Chamber advocates for business every week on transport issues.

Programme 2021.
What Do You Need? Tell Your ChamberThank you to everyone who has completed the latest Business Confidence Survey. Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt combined is a substantial business base and together, we are all a very loud voice into local and central government. Your feedback is important. By taking the Quarterly Business Confidence Survey, sponsored by Bronze Partner, Red Hot Business Coaching, you are helping us to help you.
Tell us what you need from your Chamber, your local Council and from Government. As always, we are asking for your feedback on business confidence. We also want to hear your thoughts on which events and training opportunities would be most useful to you.
Note: Thank you to the person who told us there was an error in the survey. This has now been fixed.
