Surf Champs Wrap Up At SwanseaThe 2019 NSW Surf Life Saving Championships, proudly supported by Your local club, wrapped up earlier this month after a solid three days of competition in the Opens at Swansea Belmont SLSC. The elite level of the sport was on display in a big way as the premier events were run under blue skies, high temperatures and small surf conditions. Surf Life Saving Celebrates Diversity At Lunar New YearIn February this year, Surf Life Saving New South Wales had the opportunity to take part in one of Sydney’s largest public events. As the official charity partner of the 2019 Lunar New Year Festival, volunteer lifesavers celebrated the Year of the Pig through the creation of a ‘City Beach’ in Circular Quay; the purpose being to interact with the public and spread important surf-safety messages. |
