Do You Need Help in Lockdown?

Council has restarted the Neighbour2Neighbour program which supports the elderly and vulnerable in the community by providing essential groceries and access to services. If you require assistance, or want to volunteer to help, get in touch with Council today on 9748 9939.

Updated Customer Service Hours and Mandatory Masks

Council's Customer Service will be operating at reduced hours, Monday - Friday 10am-  2pm.

Masks are mandatory and the one person, per 4 square metre rule has been reinstated.

Covid-19 Lockdown

Greater Sydney is in lockdown until Friday 9 July. All residents are required to stay at home unless:

  • They can't work from home
  • Essential shopping
  • Caring/compassionate reasons
  • Exercise

The Public are required to stay up to date with local case locations and if you have visited any of these areas, get tested and isolate. 

Use of the Service NSW QR code will be mandatory at all workplaces and retail businesses from July 12. Members of the public are reminded to check in at every location they visit.

Close Contact Alert - Crossways Hotel

Crossways Hotel, Strathfield South has been listed as a venue of concern. Anyone who attended this venue at the below times, is considered a close contact.

  • Wednesday 23 June, 7pm – 10:30pm
  • Friday 25 June, 4pm-10pm
  • Saturday 26 June, 3:30pm-6pm

You must immediately get tested, isolate for 14 days regardless of your result and call 1800 943 553 unless you have already been contacted by NSW Health.

Disposing Batteries Safely

Batteries contain toxins that are highly flammable and can contaminate the land or groundwater when disposed incorrectly. You can drop off your batteries at Strathfield Council’s Customer Service Centre or the Library and Innovation Hub. Other places include Community Recycling Centres, Battery World and Officeworks.
