The HIVE acts as a meeting place for older adults who are among the list of people who are vulnerable to infection. With uncertainty about the progress of the disease in New Brunswick, it is considered prudent to close the facility until the HIVE can be operational without posing a risk to the health of its members. The temporary closure will take effect on Friday, March 13th, and will remain in effect until further notice. The ROTHESAY HIVE is located in the Rothesay Town Hall and is operated by the YMCA of Greater Saint John in partnership with the town of Rothesay. The age-friendly facility is intended to serve as gathering place to nurture the health and well-being of adults (50+) through a hub of activities that focus on socialization, connection, health and wellness, intergenerational programming, lifelong learning and outreach.
