We can guarantee that you're learning from the best of the best.Spotlight ClassMaria Speltanik will be traveling through NC in September, and is stopping by to teach a StashBlaster Workshop, as well as offering a lecture on Quilt Room Organization! Join visiting artist Annie Smith on August 10th for Aurifil Thread Matters, as she takes you through stitching with each Aurifil thread weight, using the corresponding needle size to create a resource book of stitch and decorative samples. The reference book you will create includes Annie's 7 little tips and tricks of quilting techniques. Only a few spots remain! New instructor Deena Bailarina brings a ton of fun and energy to her Boxy Pouch class! Learn to make a zippered pouch bag just the size you like in this three-hour class. Staff member and instructor Sue Dressler would love to teach you techniques behind Collage Quilts - no machines required! There are only a few spots left in the August class! CQC Class Coordinator, staff member, and instructor Kim Zebrowski is our resident Beginning Quilt Making teacher. She will help you learn the right way, with lots of laughter along the way. She also loves to teach her Bargello Class and a second class for our beginner graduates! Staff member and instructor Lynn Christiansen would be delighted to introduce you to working with wool in her new class "Hand Wool Applique". Christine Hager-Braun is our resident expert in teaching you how to quilt with your sewing machine. She has been teaching classes with us since we opened our doors! Her upcoming classes include Free Motion Quilting and Quilting with a Walking Foot. Choose from several dates and times, to fit your schedule! She also has a fun Fabric Postcards class scheduled in November! Rosi Hanley also keeps a full list of classes, with many dates to choose from. Learn a variety of techniques from Rosi in her classes. Maybe you'd like a machine appliqué refresher ahead of Row by Row this summer! Rosi also teaches a popular t-shirt quilt class. Look for Mystery Quilt clubs from Rosi at the start of each year - they are always wonderful! Fiber Artist and instructor Nanette Zeller would love to guide you through Thread Sketching your Pet. She also offers a new class called Color Theory which might be just what you need for choosing your next quilt's fabrics! Instructor and quilt book author Michael Caputo would love to teach you the Glam Clam quilt this summer. If you've ever been interested in learning to piece curves, this is the class for you! Artist and instructor Kathie Stein has a couple of fabric dyeing classes on our schedule in September - it's so fun to play with color and dye! Instructors Renisha Battle and JeMarl Kearney would love to share an evening with you to create a cute clutch bag - and all supplies are included! They have a class a month on our calendar through the year's end: explore all of the options! Meeting CenterEnjoy your classes in our Meeting Center, specifically designed with in-floor outlets and dedicated circuits for our irons. We also rent this space to outside groups!
