In one click to the innovative San Francisco
A couple of weeks ago we hopped on a flight together with the Belgian Health Argonauts for a learning journey to Silicon Valley, the walhalla for new technologies. We discovered the health care of the future and visited interesting companies and research institutes such as J Labs, Kaiser Permanente, Fogarty Institute, Stanford Center of Longevity, Biodesign and Buck Institute. The organization was in the hands of Happy Aging, FlandersBio, DSP Valley and The Argonauts. Peter Willems, co-founder of Cubigo, led the journey.
A good night rest thanks to CrossCare project 'Ectosense'
Sleep apnea, or respiratory arrest during your sleep, is a growing problem worldwide, especially among the elderly and obese population. Thanks to the ‘Ectosense’ project of CrossCare patients will soon recover a good night rest. In 2018, Ectosense will test a new tool to detect and treat sleep apnea. To involve both civilians, doctors and patients they ask the help of the living labs of Happy Aging and Innovage in Flanders and CIC West-Brabant in the Netherlands.
