Food & Jazz for Your Soul
The Strathfield Food & Jazz Festival is coming soon! Featuring demonstrations from celebrity chefs, contemporary jazz acts, children’s cooking workshops and delightful bites, the festival is yet another great spring event!
Applications for food, drink, and dessert stallholders/trucks are now open online and close on Friday, 28 September.

Sherlock Gnomes Movie Night
Movies in the Park is back!Put on your detective hat and join Gnomeo and Juliet as they find clues to the mysterious disappearance of their garden ornaments. Bring your picnic chairs, blankets and snacks for a fun movie night-out with your friends and family!

Habitat for Threatened Species
Strathfield is home to threatened animals, rare migratory birds and plant species including the Tadgell’s Bluebell and the Eastern Yellow Robin. Join Council’s Bushcare group to make a difference in the habitat of rare species!
On Your Bike, Strathfield!
Get involved in NSW Bike Week by joining On Your Bike Day and commute to work, school, the shops or home by bicycle on Tuesday 25 September 2018. A free Bicycle Repair Workshop will be provided to ensure your bike is in safe working order!

Current Art Exhibition
Known for his artistic styles of impressionism, pop art, photography and sculpture, John Jeong’s artwork is being featured on display at Strathfield Council Customer Service. Artwork is also available for sale.

Road Safety
The Arthur Street roundabout has been upgraded with large sandstone boulders to prevent vehicles driving over the garden bed and to help organise the flow of traffic.
Throwback Thursday
Coronation Playground
The Coronation Playground located on Underwood Road, Homebush was acquired in the development of the F4 (now the M4 Motorway) in the late 1970s. The name of the playground is likely to refer to the coronation of King George VI in 1937.
