2019 Seminar in Forensic Tox - Criminal Poisoning & Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault: Forensic, Legal, and Medical Aspects

  • Dr. Gregory Saathoff will start the conference with an enlightening discussion on the profile of poisoners and lessons learned from history.
  • Dr. Christopher Holstege will present an overview of a timely topic, threat assessment.
  • Thomas Neer, Supervisory Special Agent, FBI-BAU (Ret.), will talk about investigative challenges associated with poisoners, focusing on the Michael Swango case.

ACMT Receives a $500,000 Grant to Address SUD Education

On Sep. 20, SAMHSA announced that ACMT has been awarded a $500,000 2-year grant to expand the integration of substance use disorder (SUD) education in 21 emergency medicine residency programs with ACMT site leads.
