Dear Club Members,

Covid restrictions are lifting, and we should hopefully be back on Court soon. Deb will let you know as soon as Stonnington gives us the go ahead, along with any restrictions. Stonnington wait for Tennis Victoria, who wait for the Department of Sport and Recreation, who wait for DHHS.

The Committee has been busy during lockdown. Deb, Chris, Rohan and I presented to Stonnington Council’s meeting. We put our case for the money set aside to rebuild the clubhouse, to be brought back to this year. It has very recently been moved two years down the line. We all impressed upon Council the urgency of the works required. I want to thank Jenny Millar for volunteering to assist me with the presentation.

I want to thank all those who emailed our Ward Councillors and the Mayor about our concerns. I also want to thank the 48 people who made a submission on the Council website. All these efforts make a difference. We should know the outcome of the 2021-22 Budget by the end of the month.
