It’s your turn Launceston – we’re taking the Spiegel shows on the road this weekend ONLY!

Launceston culture vultures! For 3 days only is your chance to see some of the finest shows from the Spiegeltent up close and intimate at the Festival Club at the Earl. See the Earl Arts Centre transformed into Sue Henderson’s Plato's Cave at the Earl – exhibition by day, Festival Club Bar by night.

Gracing Launceston tonight is the magnificent Le Gateau Chocolat who is bringing his stunning solo performance I ♥ Chocolat to the Earl Arts Centre for one night only! Voted by Time Out London as one of its Top 10 Cabaret Stars, Le Gateau Chocolat, is a one-man musical phenomenon, complete with larger-than-life vocal talent all wrapped up in dazzling sequinned lycra. We love him and you will too.

A new ensemble of three friends and two lovers have come together to create a jazz journey of rarely-performed songs that are close to your heart. Showcasing the soaring vocals of Maria Lurighi, the sublime violin of Peter Tanfield and internationally-acclaimed jazz pianist Matt Boden, these three maestros share their musical offerings in a special concert tonight.

Don’t miss Colin Lane, the much loved ‘Lano’ from the comedy duo Lano & Woodley. Colin’s going to do some showing off again, with a microphone and a piano. It’s funny. He’s ready to make you laugh until you cry at the Earl Arts Centre from tomorrow night.

On Saturday night, join Yana Alana feather ruffler, rabble rouser and cabaret provocateur, for a bent night of blues, burlesque and blame at the Festival Club at the Earl. Winner of the 2014 Helpmann Award for Best Cabaret Between the Cracks is cabaret at its very best.

Kaput, features the larger-than-life buffoonery of Tom Flanagan in two brilliant family shows this weekend that are full of slapstick, acrobatics and total silliness. Be swept up in the mayhem as one man’s life is flipped upside-down in these highly skilled, hilariously funny and touching performances.

After a sell-out performance and thunderous applause at Hobart’s Spiegeltent, it’s your turn Launceston to experience Tasmania’s amazing Queen of Cabaret on Sunday night! In this musical tour de force, Claire Dawson, West End regular and star of the hit show Blitz!, plays instruments and sings up a storm of old and new songs as her most popular character, the chronically conflicted SiSi.
