Did you know leaf litter can clog stormwater drains and pollute waterways? An effective way to stop this is by sweeping your gutters and driveways and ensuring you place leaves in your green bin. Causing leaf litter to enter waterways can attract a fine of up to $4,000.

Street Tree Planting Program

Council is embarking on a street tree planting program which will see 443 new trees planted in nature strips across the  Strathfield Council area! As well as increasing the street appeal, the trees will increase the urban forest, decrease heat and improve the environment.

Support Cystic Fibrosis Community Care

Cystic Fibrosis is the most common life shortening recessive genetic disease in Australia. There is currently no cure, and a young person dies of Cystic Fibrosis every 9 days. Strathfield Council will be lighting up the Town Hall this week in red, to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and in support of Cystic Fibrosis Community Care (CFCC).
