Following the recent recall of raw apricot kernels from a Christchurch supplier, to manage the risk of poisoning, we’d like to remind verifiers that the retail sale of raw apricot kernels is prohibited under the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code. Read more.

Detection of Sulphite Preservative in Beef Mince
It was the great work of a third party verifier that led to a recall, and ultimately a successful prosecution of a food business for adding sulphur dioxide to beef mince. Sulphites and sulphur dioxide are food additives not permitted to be added to raw meat. Read more.
