Call for Artists & Proposals for the Seattle Arts Leadership Conference

The MFA department is currently accepting artist and programming submission for the upcoming Arts Leadership Conference on March 2nd, 2019 at Seattle University. The Conference is now seeking proposals and artwork that reflects the theme of [RE]CONNECT, Courageous Arts Leadership in Turbulent Times. Registration is now open!

Black Queer One Womyn Show Festival: Sovereign  

Produced by Earth Pearl Collective, Sovereign, a Black Queer One Womyn Show Festival returns for its second year. Set to occur at 18th & Union, the weekend of January 9th-12th, artists such as MFA '20, Sadiqua Crutcher, will be performing in an array of artistic disciplines.

Welcome Rachel! 

Introducing our latest addition to the community: Rachel Betron is the new Program Coordinator for Arts Leadership programs at Seattle University. Rachel previously served as the City of Tacoma Arts Month Events Coordinator and graduated from the SeattleU Masters of Education in Student Development Administration program in 2016. 

 

Arts & Heritage Day at
WA State Capital

Reservations are now being accepted for the annual Arts & Heritage Day in Olympia happening February 6th, 2019. Meet with your Representatives, network with other Arts Leaders, and promote your organization and the amazing work arts organizations do for Washington state.

Congratulations to recent alumni, Paige Khoury, has accepted a position as a Development Associate for the Boys and Girls Club of Washington D.C.

Carson has recently transitioned as the Fund and Membership Coordinator at the Seattle Art Museum. Exciting news, Carson!

MFA 18'

Natalie Miller has joined the Pratt Fine Arts Center as their Access Fund & Donor Events Manager. Congratulations, Natalie! 

Practicum & Internships

The Arts Leadership program is proud to partner with local arts organizations to provide hands on professional experiences for our BA and MFA students. If you're interested in hosting an Arts Leadership student for a internship or practicum in 2019, please contact Kevin Maifeld.
