ADA to Beijing Design Week

We are delighted to announce that ADA Chair Oliver Kratzer has been selected to represent the ADA on the inaugural Australian delegation to Beijing Design Week later this month. 

The Australian Embassy in Beijing is organising this inaugural delegation as part of the Australian Government's ongoing promotion of Australian creative industries in China.

Following the visit, the ADA will be hosting a forum to share reflections and insights on the Beijing Design Week experience.

WDC 2014 to host 'Designing Policies for a Developing Country'

The 'Make a Plan' WDC 2014 Design Policy Conference, taking place 17-18 October 2014 at the Cape Town Stadium, aims to develop a policy that guides and encourages design, not only in South Africa but on the entire African continent. DESIGN Canberra Festival

DESIGN Canberra is a new festival of design to be held in late November and hosted by Craft ACT.

Helen O’Neil, Craft ACT president and member of the DESIGN Canberra Festival Committee told the Sydney Morning Herald:

“Canberra is Australia’s designed city, a natural centre for celebrating Australian creative talent in design in fields from architecture and landscape design to ceramics, textiles and jewellery.
