Summer Registration
Destination Exploration is very excited for the start of a new summer of amazing STEAM programming! Registration opens on March 29, 2017.
Summer camp begins on July 4th and runs until August 25th and offers a full week of exploring science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on activities, experiments, and games, with physical activity breaks. This year we will be exploring how the arts (social sciences & digital humanities) also fit into the sciences. We also are offering half-day camps for our younger scientists! Check out our summer camp brochure for more information:

Play Day!
The University of Lethbridge hosted its annual Play Day event on February 20th, 2017 and Destination Exploration was happy to provide amazing hands on activities to hundreds of families. They enjoyed building their own super zoomers, playing with tornado tubes and Cubelets, and testing physics with the inertia penny drop.
Thank you to all our volunteers, staff and participants for making this day a great success!

We had a great time with clubs this semester!
Highlights from Maker Taster Club include: LED insects, visits from TechBridge and Heinz Fischer, HTML website coding, and 3D printing!
In iScientist Club we made our own websites, completed an animal research project, learned about parallax and built LittleBits powered cars!
Next fall will be all new activities and projects! We can't wait to have you!
Thanks for a great semester,
Laura, Bree, and Humaira

Are you an educator?
Why not have Destination Exploration come to your classroom?
We visit K-8 classrooms throughout the Lethbridge area to provide two hour science and technology workshops, including demonstrations, experiments and hands-on activities to help young students develop an excitement for science. As a proud grass roots program of Southern Alberta, our topics support the Alberta Learning Curriculum! We can introduce a topic, recap the students learning, or ignite the spark of curiosity in the middle of the unit.
Please visit here for more information or to book your session!
