On Your Marks, Get Set, Go!
Get racing for the early bird entry fee for the Cooks River Fun Run! Returning for its 9th year in a row, this great family event takes in the Bay to Bay Cycleway from Freshwater Park to Ford Park. Participants can choose from a 5km or 10km run, a 5km walk or 10km relay. The event also features a 2km Kids Run.
When: Sunday 24 June 2018
Where: Start and finish at Freshwater Park, Strathfield - Turn around at Ford Park
Changes to Parking Restrictions - The Crescent, Homebush
A 1 hour parking area will be reinstated along The Crescent, in front of Homebush Station and the Kiss and Ride area will be relocated. See the public notice for more information.
Updated Boarding House Tariffs
The Office of Local Government have advised changes to the maximum tariffs that a boarding house or lodging house may charge occupants. For further information please view the public notice here.
School Holiday Program
There’s only 1 week of school left and still plenty of time to register your little ones for fun and educational School Holiday activities from 16 – 24 April 2018. Featuring an exciting movie adventure in a 9D cinema, a kickeroos soccer program, gymanstrix and NAPLAN workshops at Strathfield Library.

Seniors Festival
The 2018 Seniors Festival program is in full swing with a limited amount of events left to enjoy! Don’t miss out on the Strathfield Symphony Orchestra performing En Pointe this Sunday, free for Strathfield residents.

Sydney Motorway Corporation Community Grant Scheme
Sydney Motorway Corporation is accepting applications for its Community Grant Scheme until 3pm on Friday 13 April 2018. Eligible community groups can apply for up to $10,000 to deliver initiatives that provide long-term benefits to communities within close proximity to WestConnex.

Throwback Thursday
Coronation Arch
The Coronation Arch located in Strathfield South was a Council project during the Great Depression of the 1930s to provide employment for local workers. The Arch was dedicated to King George VI (the current Queen’s father) who was coronated in 1937.
