    Ponsonby Road to Hereford Street

Last week, the surface of Hereford Street was re-asphalted and line-marked, including the loading zone. The lane closure on Hereford Street has been removed and is now back open to two-way traffic.

    STAGING & LOADING ZONES

Below is a map of the Karangahape Road precinct showing the construction stages, temporary bus stop relocations and loading zones.

Work was expected to commence in the section from Symonds Street to Queen Street today.  We are still awaiting traffic management approval to start work, therefore this section is now expected to start later this week.

For most of this stage, construction is in the carriageway and the outer edge of the footpath, however there will be footpath reconstruction on the intersections at Liverpool Street and Queen Street.  The bus stop at this location will also be removed but service will be maintained along Karangahape Road.

Auckland Transport’s parking enforcement is working to ensure parking is being correctly used throughout the Karangahape Road precinct.  If you have a request for parking enforcement, please call Auckland Council on 09 301 0101.
