Dr. Wong is the Assistant Dean of Academic and Postdoctoral Services at UCLA Graduate Division. This workshop will cover helpful tips and resources to help you secure a post-doc fellowship. Call for Proposal Deadline - Realizing Equity Research SymposiumFriday, March 4th | 5 PM Deadline extended! Submit your proposal to participate in CGU's Realizing Equity Symposium. Qualifying Exams Preparation WeekendSaturday, March 5th - Sunday, March 6th | 9 AM - 4 PMThe Center for Writing & Rhetoric is happy to announce that we are offering an event just for students at the qualifying exam stage. Designed for students doing timed exams, written assignments, dissertation chapter drafts, and portfolios, the event will provide the options of either dedicated work time with peers or a combination of work time and facilitated sessions on exam preparation topics. CWR + SisterCitizen: Black Solace Virtual Writing RetreatSaturday, March 6th | 10:15 AM - 2:30 PMBlack Solace Virtual Writing Retreats are a black-centered space for students that will occur throughout the Spring semester and have work blocks, a community lunch, and a group meditation. There will be breakout rooms available for a quiet study space and a music room. A CWR writing consultant will also be on-hand to co-facilitate and provide short consultation sessions in a separate breakout room. Come for as many or as few blocks as you like and make progress on your projects in an affirming and productive space. Spring BreakMonday, March 14th - Friday, March 18thSpring break will begin on Monday, March 14th and end Friday, March 18th! International StudentsOptional Practical Training (OPT) WorkshopsMonday, March 7th | 12 PM SLDL will host an Optional Practical Training (OPT) workshop, open to all current F-1 students, especially those who are planning to apply for pre/post completion OPT during the current or upcoming semester. During the session, we will cover information on what OPT is, and the application process including eligibility rules, timeline and required documents for submission.
