He used a Sky-Watcher Esprit 120ED Telescope on a ZWO AM5 mount, ZWO ASI2400MC camera and Antlia filters. You can send your astro or nature images to BINTEL to be featured here NEW Celestron StarSense Explorer Telescopes - Tabletop DobsoniansUnlike mobile phones, new telescopes aren't released that often, so when it happens, we get pretty excited! Celestron StarSense Explorer 150mm Tabletop Dobsonian Yesterday Celestron announced four new telescopes that will be available in the coming months. The first of these are tabletop "Dobsonians" or Dobs. Dobs are simple, but highly effective reflecting telescopes that were popularised by John Dobson a few decades ago. They offer a lot of telescope for your money and are great value. Folks still make Dobsonians themselves, and they're available from telescope companies in sizes that range from the $99 Celestron FirstScope to massive scopes that you'll need a large trailer to move around. The new Celestron StarSenser Explore tabletop Dobsonians are small, easy to transport and setup telescopes. Celestron StarSense Explorer 114mm Tabletop Dobsonian The Celestron StarSense Explorer system is perfect for locating astro objects and learning about the Universe above us. While is uses your iPhone or Android phone along with a special Celestron app, it doesn't need a Wi-Fi or 4G connection to work. It uses your phone to look at the sky where your telescope is pointed and then with a Lost in Space Algorithm (LISA), much like the one used by many satellites, it will guide you to move your StarSense Explorer telescope to find whatever you'd like to see. If you're not sure what to look it, StarSense Explorer can even take you on a personalised discovery tour of what's in the sky from your location. This makes any of the Celestron StarSense Explorer telescopes great travelling companions, especially if you're in areas with spotty or non-existent mobile coverage. NEW BIG Celestron StarSense Explorer Telescope - 12" Dob for even better viewsAlong with their new tabletop Dobs, Celestron has announced a 12" version of their existing StarSense Explorer 8" and 10" Dobsonians. This is a BIG telescope! The large, 12" diameter main mirror means brighter, clearer views of Solar System planets and deep-space objects in the Milky Way and even galaxies beyond. We'll be letting everyone know when all these new Celestron telescope are available from BINTEL, which will be sometime towards the end of the year. NEW Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED Binoculars - Perfect for Astronomy or distance viewingAlso announced recently are the new Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED Binoculars. Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED 20x80 Binoculars These are a new, high-end addition to the extremely popular Celestron SkyMaster Binoculars. They've received an upgrade to ED glass for more life-like colour, increased resolution, and improved contrast. Compared to many other non-ED binoculars around the same prices, views through the Celestron SkyMaster ED Pro series will appear sharper and crisper. All three sizes in the line-up are well suited to Astronomy: (As with all binoculars sizes, the first number is the magnification and the second the size of each of the front lenses in mm.) Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED Binoculars can also accept standard 1.25" astronomy filters such Moon filters. They can all be easily mounted on a tripod and the 20 x 80 model lets you attach a red dot finder as well. The Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED binoculars will be available from BINTEL later in the year. NEW StarSense Autoguider - High Tech upgrade for Celestron computerised telescopes and mountsA cool new Celestron gizmo arriving at BINTEL in the coming months is the StarSense Autoguider. The Celestron StarSense Autoguider automatically handles the alignment of most Celestron mounts and computerised telescopes. Once this is done, it then helps your telescope and mount accurately track astro objects. Deep-space and Solar System planets will stay rock stead even in high powered eyepieces and protracted exposure astro photos will feature pinpoint stars and sharp details on nebulae, clusters and galaxies - all without additional guide scopes and cameras. The Celestron StarSense Autoguider is compatible Celestron computerised mounts such as the Advanced VX, CGEM, CGX and others well as Celestron telescopes including the NexStar 5SE, 6SE, 8SE, the Evolution and CPC series and more.
