And that's a wrap! We farewell 2020 and welcome 2021 with open arms.
Whilst summer in Far North Queensland means mangoes, swimming and sunshine, it also means we enter our dreaded cyclone season. Now is an optimum time to clean your gutters, check your roof screws and cut back any trees that may pose a threat in stormy weather. Tradespeople can be quite busy as the year draws to a close so if you haven't already had these works carried out, ask your manager to assist with this in the early new year. We have included a link to some cyclone safety information, below.
It's also worth noting that if your roof and gutters are inspected and deemed to be in good condition or hazardous trees removed, this could work in your favour in terms of strata building insurance. If risks are mitigated, an insurer may be in a position to reduce your premium. This is always a plus, especially during current tough market conditions where premiums have increased considerably in some cases.
Lastly, we were thrilled to be named as Finalists this month in the Strata Management Business category for the SCA Strata Excellence Awards 2021. In addition, our very own Peta Balmer was named as a Finalist in the Essay Award category. Well done to all. Teamwork makes the dream work!
From our TCM family to yours, have a safe, happy and healthy festive season. We appreciate your support and look forward to working with you in 2021 and beyond.
Yours in Property,
Kelly Roberts - Managing Director
