NSW Junior Surf Lifesavers Announced
Congratulations to Kale Puata (North Avoca SLSC) and Chloe Carr (Bungan Beach SLSC), the 2020 NSW Junior Lifesavers of the Year!
For the first time in its 32-year history, the process for the selection of the prestigious awards for 13 and 14-year old lifesavers has been completed online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
How to Win an Australian Ironman Title - with Max Brooks and Nick Carroll
The Race Analysis Series is an opportunity to walk through surf sports finals with our champions. We'll break down the winning performances so you can pick up tips and tricks to help you improve your racing skills.
In this episode, join Max with his coach Nick Carroll and brother Charlie, who was also in the race, to talk through tactics, techniques and what was going through the champion Ironman's head throughout the race.
Lifesavers Donate Protective Masks to Fire and Rescue NSW
Surf Life Saving NSW recently donated personal protective equipment (PPE) masks to Fire and Rescue NSW for use by frontline personnel who are at risk of being exposed to the Coronavirus.

Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards
Nominations for the 2020 Rotary NSW Emergency Services Community Awards have been extended until 31 May 2020.
These awards aim to recognise the unsung heroes that are often the quiet achievers, never asking for recognition but making a significant difference within their community.
We know there are countless members who continuously go above and beyond the call of duty and contribute enormously to Surf Life Saving. Nominate your fellow clubbies today!
Rescue of the Month Nominations - March
A reminder that Branch ROTM nominations are to be submitted to SLSNSW by close of business today.
Clubs, branches and Lifeguard Supervisors are encouraged to nominate teams or individuals involved in any outstanding rescues conducted during or outside of patrol hours.
NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards
Nominations are now open for the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards - one of the largest celebrations of volunteering in Australia.
NSW Community Sports Awards
Nominations are now open for the Community Sports Awards which recognize the outstanding contributions to community sport in NSW.
NSW Dorothy Hennessy OAM Emergency Services Youth Scholarship
The $1000 scholarship is to assist with further studies in the recipient's chosen career whilst celebrating and supporting the contribution of young volunteer heroes. Celebrating Women in Surf Life Saving
To help celebrate the 40th anniversary of women as active surf lifesavers, we are calling for stories, photos and video of trailblazing women in the surf lifesaving movement. July 1 2020 marks the 40th anniversary of women's involvement in active surf lifesaving duties.
Due to the current restrictions on indoor and outdoor gatherings put in place by the NSW Government, a number of state and national events have been postponed or cancelled.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all Envirobank scheduled collections have been temporarily suspended until further notice. Further updates will be provided in due course.
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
