As you may know, our NC Governor is allowing retail shops to reopen their doors on May 9th. Unfortunately, we will not be one of them.

Health and safety are the most important factors to us. We don't have a reliable supply of the cleaning products necessary to keep our shop disinfected at the frequent levels required to open.

Until we have a reliable and steady source for cleaning supplies, we are making the choice to continue to operate online only.

We serve some higher risk populations, and also have some higher risk staff members on our team. We simply aren't comfortable opening our shop doors to customers again until we feel we can do it in the most responsible and safest way possible.

We are still Longarm Quilting

Our longarm quilting team is busy working on your quilts! When your quilt is finished, expect a phone call from the shop. Payment will be collected via credit card over the phone. We are offering free curbside pickup (Mon -Sat 10 - 3), $2 same-day delivery for local customers, or shipping (at actual cost) via FedEx.

If you have a quilt that you'd like to add to the queue, you can complete your intake form online. Choose to mail your quilt to us, or we can pick it up curbside.

Today, we highlight Dr. Jessica Bishop Funk! Jessica is a dentist in Chapel Hill. While her practice has been closed, she has been sewing surgical masks and donating her proceeds to the SECU Family House and Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill. Jessica's fun fact "My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 13.  We used to spend long hours on weekends sewing together.  It was a very special time and every time I am in my sewing room, I think of her and all she taught me.  Three years ago, I got this notion to sell my items to raise money for charity.  I started with my kids' school craft fair and then life got a little crazy with a divorce and remarriage.  I kept my dream of having an Etsy store but raising two kids and working full time, makes for very little craft time.  I am trying to find the silver lining in the Coronavirus lockdown and that is that it got me motivated to start my Etsy store and raise money for charity.  To date, I have raised $5000 for SECU Family House and $5000 for Ronald McDonald House.  There is still a lot of demand for what I call my fun, FUNKY, fashionable face masks.  I am taking suggestions for my next charity.  I hope to continue to sew for my Etsy store and for charity when life resumes normalcy but likely never at the pace I have been sewing for the last three weeks."
