Learn and/or level up your curve sewing skills with this fun, three-dimensional Halloween project! Grinning Ghoul is a FQ- and scrap-friendly single block finishing at 16” square - perfect for turning into a pillow or embellishing a tote bag.
Design your own stained glass window quilt with Debbie. This quilt is made with one layer cake, 1 ½ yards of black fabric and your imagination.

Three Color Burrito Pillowcase for Middle School Students
This is a great “learn-to-sew” class for middle school aged kids. They will leave the class with a one-of-a-kind completed pillowcase!
Kim will help guide you through the Knitted Star pattern. You can make one of 3 sizes. In Kim’s Camps, she takes a pattern & breaks it up into workable sections. In each of the first few sessions she will demo a technique and give you some portion of the quilt to complete before the next month’s session.

This Make and Take class is perfect for a beginning to intermediate sewer who wants to learn about zippers in bag construction. These bags make perfect gifts!
Octagonal Carpenter's Star Christmas Tree Skirt Class
This is a two session class in which you will use half-square triangles to make the classic (and usually Y-seamed) Carpenter’s Wheel quilt. You will practice (and hopefully perfect!) your chain piecing technique, and possibly push the envelope with some fast cutting techniques!

This very versatile table runner with an unusual outline uses a folded fabric technique to create the curves that makes this table runner unique. Learn to create it with Nora!

Kandy Korn Kitty Wall Hanging Class
Kandy Korn kitty is a fun seasonal pattern. You will learn how to do raw edge applique and embellish a mini quilt/wall hanging finishing around 16" x 21". Once you have made this, you can apply the techniques to other designs.

Happy news from class instructor Kristene
In 2021, a group of ladies from my neighborhood discussed sewing. Some enjoyed sewing, some wanted to learn, and others were avid quilters. We formed a group, and members have varying skill levels; some don't sew but help prepare fabric, create kits, track donations, and assist with quilts. We all support each other in learning new skills. Our group has donated 102 quilts to WakeMed Cary and Meals on Wheels Durham in the past 20 months! Our group has now doubled in size. We also make cloth grocery bags for food pantry giveaways and plan to teach sewing and sharing the spirit of giving with a girl scout troop soon. We are excited about expanding our community contributions further.
