Yi's machines - called aerobes - re-imagine artificial intelligence and ask us to think about further understanding ourselves as humans and the ecosystems we live in.
Taste of London (Tobacco Dock, E1, 18th - 21st November) Kick off the festive season in style as Tobacco Dock is transformed into the ultimate foodie wonderland! Expect winter cocktails, live music, special entertainment and exclusive dishes at this four-day food festival. Sample new dishes from a mouth-watering selection of restaurants, incuding Hoppers, Juici Jerk, and Cin Cin as well festive tipples and a fire pit complete with pyro displays. Arrive hungry! Enchanted Woodland (Syon Park, TW8, 12th - 28th November) Arguably the most magical place in London, Syon Park once again hosts the Enchanted Woodland, which sees the 600-year-old gardens transformed by a display of lights and music. All proceeds are re-invested directly into the Gardens and Great Conservatory. Book your tickets now to this enchanted realm of tranquility . Candlelit Ballet (Southwark Cathedral, SE1, 6th November) Line up for an utterly enchanting evening of candlelit ballet in this unforgettable performance of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Add the ambience provided by one of London's most magnificent cathedrals and you're in for what must be the classiest date in town. Lux: New Wave of Contemporary Art (180 The Strand, WC2, all month) This brutalist venue near Somerset House is becoming the go-to place for art experiences in the dark. 12 artists including Es Devlin, Hito Steyerl and Julian Knxx are part of this series of computer-generated installations. From an immersive pink tunnel to an ocean of digital waves, this collaboration with Korean curators SUUM, provides a collection video exhibits to totally lose yourself in. Pitchfork Music Festival (Various venues across town, 10th - 14th November) After successfully launching festivals in Chicago and Paris, indie bible, Pitchfork, turns its attention to London. The inaugural edition of Pitchfork Music Festival in the capital will bring together rising stars and established icons from the UK and beyond, including Bobby Gillespie, Black Midi and Stereolab. Beano: The Art of Breaking the Rules (Somerset House, WC2, All month) This landmark exhibition explores Beano’s unruliness and irreverence, celebrating the history, impact, and lovable rebelliousness of the 80-year-old comic series. The show is curated by artist and lifelong Beano fan Andy Holden, and features editor’s notes, recreations of Beanotown sights, and plenty of laugh out loud jokes. WC Bloomsbury (Bloomsbury, WC1, All month) The team at Clapham Leisure has smartly renovated a Grade II listed Victorian Water Closet at the bottom (?) of Lamb's Conduit Street. The urinals have been transformed into bar stools, the old cubicles turned into plush booths and the whole place is swathed in candlelight. It's all rather quirkily Dickensian and surprisingly lovely.
