QLDC Winter Road Report - Monday 3 Sept

Good morning everyone,

Well snowmageddon didn't quite eventuate...  but we do have some potentially dicey conditions out there today. 

Wet roads and cold temperatures equal ice so please slow down and stay alert.  Especially around day break (you know the drill!). 

The Crown Range Road is open and clear.  It's well gritted but please take extra care up there today. Our crews will be out patrolling and checking the roads across the district and applying grit where required.  

If you're heading further afield, there's snow on the Lindis Pass and chains are essential.  The road is currently closed to towing vehicles.  Check out the NZTA website if you're looking for an update on this road.
