In this update, you will find information on extended alternative signing options during COVID-19 for strata and community schemes, new and updated waivers, and how to use a Digital Drivers Licence to satisfy Verification of Identity requirements. The Commonwealth Attorney General’s Department is seeking public and stakeholder views on possible arrangements for a National Register of Enduring Powers of Attorney, with submissions closing 30 June 2021. The Real Property Amendment (Certificates of Title) Bill 2021 has now passed through NSW Parliament, allowing for the cancellation of paper certificates of title (CTs) in NSW. We are working towards a cessation date of 1 October 2021, with a formal announcement to come over the next few weeks.
