Singapore's contact tracing app is not working. The government-developed the TraceTogether app to help authorities identify people with whom a coronavirus patient has been in close contact. But for it to work, three-quarters of the city-state’s 5.7 million residents must have the app on their smartphones. As of last week, TraceTogether had 1.08 million users.
Facebook invests in India’s Jio Platforms. The social-media giant said it would pay $5.7 billion for just under 10% of Jio, an Indian telecom company. The deal is Facebook's largest overseas investment and gives it the opportunity to bring WhatsApp into closer partnership with the mobile operator. (WSJ)
Xerox to produce hand sanitizer. Xerox Holdings has become the latest maker of hand sanitizer. The copier maker today said it was working to produce about 140,000 gallons of hand sanitizer by June. (WSJ)

Their Gmails. Employees at the Federal Emergency Management Agency are raising concerns over a Jared Kushner-led team of private-sector volunteers who are sourcing health supplies using their personal Gmail accounts. "In one case, FEMA advised a vendor to report the contact to police, not realizing at the time that the email had come from one of the volunteers," the WSJ's Rachael Levy writes.
Vietnamese hackers targeted China's coronavirus response. Cyber firm FireEye Inc. says it identified an attempt by hackers associated with Vietnam's government to access email accounts of staff at China’s Ministry of Emergency Management and the government of Wuhan. (Reuters)
