With 35 teams participating in 4 different categories and the stands full of cheering supporters it was full night of racing and personal bests! Head over to our website for results and photos. With daylight savings finally here we're hoping for the weather to warm up so we can hit the beach later next month for Labour Weekend! If you're not heading away for what feels like the first long weekend in ages - we will be open Labour Weekend, just with reduced hours on Labour Day Monday 23 October (from 12 noon - 9pm). We've got open rolls and coached sessions... and if you have unsuspecting visitors from out of town then why not book them in to have-a-go during our 5pm session! WHAT NEXT?If you've had a taste of riding on the track at the Avantidrome in one of our have-a-go sessions or the BNZ Corporate Challenge and are wondering what next, book in to one of our accreditation sessions and we'll get you on your way to becoming a regular track rider in no time.Taking part in the accreditation process is the next step in your journey of learning to ride the track at the Avantidrome. In these sessions you'll be taught the required skills and etiquette to ride safely. Once you've passed your final assessment you can then join in any of the Avantidrome programmes and sessions to continue your development, get fit and have some fun! Accreditation sessions are generally held in the weekends - for days and times, check out our track schedule online and look for the orange accreditation sessions. AVANTIDROME RACE SERIESA great night was had by all at the first of our Avantidrome race series earlier this month. The next one has been bought forward to 14 October. This series caters for both the Sprint and Endurance side of track cycling and provides you with the opportunity to race championship events and distances. All accredited riders welcome! OCTOBER SCHOOL HOLIDAY SESSIONSIt's not too late to get the kids booked in to our school holiday sessions - we've still go a few spots left! Level 1 sessions are available for children just starting out and Level 2 sessions for those who have already completed their accreditation and are keen to learn new skills and take their riding to the next level. HERE'S A FUN CHALLENGEThe Aotearoa Mini Bike Challenge is a chance to get back on the bike, to set yourself some goals, and to build some great bicycling habits. All you need to do to take part is ride a bike anywhere, anytime for at least 10 minutes during the challenge (16-29 October 2017). Easy huh?
