Avoid the perils of poor cash management

There is more than a grain of truth in the notion that businesses often fail because they do not have the cash to pay a key supplier rather than because they have a surplus of liabilities over assets or, in other words, have become insolvent. 

Maintaining an adequate cash balance (i.e. liquidity) and carefully managing its cash receipts and payments as part of its normal regular activities is crucial to ensuring that a lack of liquid resources does not become a threat to the survival of a business.

Tax-Free Childcare replaces Childcare Voucher Scheme

Tax-Free Childcare will replace the existing Childcare Voucher Scheme from the 1 October 2018. Parents already receiving childcare vouchers will be able to continue to use them after October if their current employer continues to offer the voucher scheme, but no newcomers will be accepted.
