NNYLN Fall Conference - "Wikipedia & Libraries"

Please join us for our annual Fall Conference, where we will be hosting brief morning presentations from our members concerning their completed Professional Development Grants, Technology Service Improvement Grants, and Training on Demand grants. These presentations are a great way to learn more about new projects both within and outside the region.

Following lunch, our featured presentation will be Wikipedia and Libraries, featuring Debbie Krahner, Learning Commons Librarian and Wikipedia Ambassador at Colgate University.  Debbie will discuss the relationship between libraries and Wikipedia, demonstrate how to create and edit Wikipedia pages, and review existing projects that encourage the use of Wikipedia in a scholarly manner, such as the GLAM-Wiki initiative, Wikipedia WikiProjects, and the Wikipedia Education Foundation.
