Social Impact Experiences on Airbnb & SLSNSWSurf Life Saving NSW has been approached by Airbnb with an exciting opportunity for Clubs who are interested in educating their communities, while at the same time raising some funds for their Club. Airbnb Social Impact experiences are activities hosted by non-profit organisations that immerse travellers (or passionate locals) in their cause, generating widespread awareness along the way. A social experience with Surf Life Saving NSW, as one of Australia’s most recognisable and iconic movements, provides travellers and locals the chance to meet the lifesavers, understand the culture and history behind the movement, and access some basic beach safety education. Social experiences represent a chance for Surf Life Saving Clubs to explore new ways to engage and educate the community and reach a new target market that had not previously been touched by SLSNSW. The Airbnb platform further provides an avenue for members and clubs to be rewarded for their time. SLSNSW will provide the framework and structure of the experience that each club can individualise and tailor given their location and resources. More information can be downloaded here or please contact Jo Massey, jmassey@surflifesaving.com.au, before Monday 22 January 2018.
