Dear all Middle School Students, Parents and Guardians

Welcome back!

I hope the holiday season was a joyous and restful one. I have to say I’m am both delighted and impressed with the way the students have returned to school. Having settled into the new school last term there is a real sense of togetherness and ‘this is how we do things’. From learning in lessons to having lunch in our hall, it’s a joy to finally see the middle move around School 21 with its own identity. Well done Year 5 and Year 7.

This term Year 7 has began the year with a focus on their portfolio presentation coming up at the end of this month, taking us through their journey so far and their targets, I look forward to seeing them. They have also started their Year 7 project preparing for Ignite and the spoken word festival at the end on term.

Year 5  have been getting stuck in to their project which focuses on the history of Surgery and how this can be used fir a promenade, immersive piece of theatre. They are also preparing for the student leadership council in Coaching so watch this space.

Once again I thank you for the support you have shown the Middle School and would like to take this opportunity to recognise the Middle School team who do a tremendous job in making the school special for our children. Student, teacher and parent relationships are at the heart of School 21 and I thank you for continuing to make our staff feel valued and our playgrounds safe. I look forward to growing this powerful relationship that will allow your child to grow at School 21.

Look forward to seeing you all and here’s to a wonderful second term.

Warmest Wishes
Mr Ahmet

Year 7 Pantomime Trip

On Wednesday 10th we took our fantastic Year 7 to go and see the ever not so traditional pantomime in Stratford Theatre Royal. We had a fantastic time watching Rapunzel, alongside her twin Goldilocks, defeat the evil Witch Maddie.

The Year 7's behaved with fantastic professionalism, and were clearly stepping up showcasing their wonderful personalities and kindness.

The Theatre Manager, who was sitting on our level, found me at the interval to say what a credit the School 21 students were to their teachers, and that they were the most well-behaved and polite school the Theatre had has since the beginning of the run!

So Well Done Year 7! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed taking you.
