Logan’s multi-million dollar tourism boost

 

The City of Logan will soon be home to Spirits of the Red Sand, an interactive Aboriginal story-telling experience, the first of its kind in South-East Queensland. Officially launching in time for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, the cultural attraction is set to draw in international visitors and boost the City’s profile as a tourism destination.

Local group Nunukul Yuggera Aboriginal Dance Troupe has partnered with cultural tourism mastermind Mike Tamaki to form the company, Great Australian Experiences and hopes to take Spirits of the Red Sand show throughout Australia.

Small Business Expo is coming to Logan

Logan-based business All Purpose Transport has seen the benefits of using the new national Transition to Work intern program to help source and nurture local talent.

The Logan Small Business Expo will feature over 90 trade stands and several workshops with leading speakers including Olympian Steven Bradbury and fashion mogul Justin Herald.

Following the Unpacking Innovation event, Council is developing an innovation strategy. Share your ideas by completing the City Futures Survey or send your submission to innovation@logan.qld.gov.au by 1 October, 2017.
