OLV Represents at Mercedes Marathon
The Mercedes Marathon Weekend is always a fun and busy weekend for our OLV family. On Saturday, February 9, 43 of our students participated in the Mercedes Kid’s Marathon at Railroad Park. The students started training in September, and over the course of five months, ran 25 miles. On February 9th, they completed their marathon by running the last mile. It was a fun and exciting day. This year we also had students that ran the 5K, and three of our faculty members ran in the different races. Our preschool teacher, Jennifer Crain, completed the full marathon and won 1st place local female! Congratulations to all of our runners. We are super proud of you!
Please help the kindergarten class by sending in your old markers for recycling. Any kind of markers can be sent in, including non-crayola brands, dry erase markers, and highlighters. Drop-off boxes are located outside of the kindergarten room. Thank you for helping us with this service project and reducing the amount of plastics that go to our landfills!
