Notices:*Please ensure that your child comes to school in full uniform daily. Footwear for PE lessons needs to be black in colour. Thank you for your cooperation regarding this. **If your child needs to be administered with medication during the school day, please: 1. Make sure the medication is prescribed by a doctor for the child taking the medication, that the medication is in the original packaging and the expiry date is clearly shown. 2. Take the medication to reception where you will be asked to fill out a medication form. If you have recently been issued with a medical care plan for your child please read the plan, amend if necessary, sign and return to reception. If your child is on crutches and wants to attend school, they must first have a risk assessment before being allowed to go to class. Please email mbarthram@school21.org.uk to arrange for a risk assessment to take place. Amended dates for the End of Term22nd March is the Oracy Exhibition and a planning day which means that pupils will be asked to come in at certain times, but not for the whole day. 28th March is now a normal school day and will also be the last day of term. The Easter holidays will begin on 29th March. This will no longer be a half day. Ignite the SparkThis week saw the launch of the Spark Speeches in Year 4. With the overarching question: 'Can Our Voice Change the World?', the children will be exploring three key areas of learning of which they choose one issue to write and perform their 'Spark Speech' about. The children began gathering ideas about the Internet, The Environment and British Values this week, as they embarked upon a journey from the page to the stage... Recyc1eThe children in Year 1 have been spending time meeting adults and asking them questions that they generated, relating to recycling at School 21. They really did start to put the staff under pressure! Defining GravityThis week in Reception we have been developing our knowledge of the Solar System by creating planets and stars out of different materials. We have also started using lots of fab vocabulary, such as 'gravity' and 'nebula' and we can talk with expertise about what they mean. |
