    Be on time. Travel light.

Planning to fly from Brussels Airport in the near future? Be sure to allow plenty of time to complete all the formalities before depature.

Our advice? For flights within the European Union: plan to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours in advance. For destinations outside the EU: at least 3 hours in advance.

For your own comfort, we recommend packing as light as possible. At the request of the police, your luggage may be scanned at the pre-check area prior to checking in.

Tip: You can save a lot of time by checking in online (via your airline’s website) and only carrying hand luggage. After passing the pre-check zone, you can then go straight to security!

    15 minutes FREE parking

Driving to the airport to drop someone off or pick someone up? Take advantage of 15 minutes free parking in car parks P1, P2 and P3. Just follow the signs on the access road to the airport (A201) to one of the three car parks: P1, P2 or P3.
Do not forget to validate your parking ticket at one of the machines, before making your way to the exit.

If you need more time, the usual rates apply: €2 for 15-30 min and €4 for 30-60 min.

Access to the kiss & fly zone in front of the airport building is closed at present. This area is currently being used as a pre‑check zone.

Only passengers are admitted inside the departure and arrivals halls, although visitors can still wait for arriving passengers at the arrivals level outside the airport building.

    Checking in

While part of the departure hall at Brussels Airport is back in operation, the temporary check-in area near the bus terminal is still in use. Which means there are currently two check-in areas at the airport.

We’re working hard to get the departure hall back to full capacity. In the meantime, however, it’s a good idea to check which departure zone you need before you arrive at the airport. You can find this information on our website.

  • Departures 1 (blue) is the departure hall where check‑in rows 1 to 8 are in use.

  • Departures 2 (green) is the temporary check‑in zone located on level 0 near the bus terminal.
