Despite a solid challenge from south coast club Warilla-Barrack Point, reigning champions Cudgen Headland have emerged victorious at the 2020 Envirobank NSW Country Surf Life Saving Championships.

A group of young surf lifesavers from Redhead SLSC in the Hunter region recently received a Rescue of the Month Award from SLSNSW for saving the lives of three people caught in a rip.
Off Duty Lifesaver Hero in Bronte Mass Rescue
In a mass rescue that has been described as incredible and heroic, off-duty surf lifesaver James McLennan saved the lives of nine people who were caught in the notorious Bronte Beach rip and swept hundreds of metres out to sea.
Crews Named for Interstate Surf Boat Championship
SLSNSW is pleased to announce the surf boat crews chosen to represent NSW at the 2020 Interstate Surf Boat Championship to be held at Mollymook SLSC alongside the 2020 ASRL Open on Fri 14 Feb.
NSW Youth Pathways Cup Team Makes it Three
The future of NSW beach and water athletes have continued the legacy set by those, most of which are now competing in the Interstate team, by winning the third consecutive Youth Pathways Cup since it's inauguration three years ago.

Out of Date First Aid Supplies - Wildlife Bushfire Support
The ongoing Bushfire crisis has had a catastrophic impact on many communities, including our native wildlife. SLSNSW is collecting out of date first aid supplies to send to the RSPCA to assist with the treatment of injured wildlife throughout NSW.

Grants & Fundraising
Mental Health First Aid Course
One in five Australians will experience a mental illness in their lifetime. The Australian Lifesaving Academy NSW is now delivering the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) – Standard 2 Day Course as authored by Mental Health First Aid Australia, delivered by instructors who are currently accredited by MHFA Australia. The course will equip participants with the skills necessary to help someone they may be concerned about. For more information please contact the Australian Lifesaving Academy NSW on 1300 766 257.
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.
Surf Life Saving Foundation
The SLSF carry out weekly raffle ticket sales at shopping centres and a monthly giving program (face-to-face door knocking) called Guardians Of The Surf. A full list of the current face-to-face door knocking locations can be downloaded from our website.
