QLDC Winter Road Report - Tues 18 Sept
Good Morning,
Wow, that escalated quickly yesterday..
Things are looking a whole lot better today but we've got some damp roads leftover with grit applied where needed. Grit and plough trucks continue to do the rounds, and all roads are open bar of course Glenorchy Road (we'll have an update on that at 9am).
As always, we must remind everyone to drive cautiously out there. It might not be snowing anymore, but still - take it slow and look out for one another.
If you know of anyone without power still, pay them a visit and make sure they're okay!
Finally, a big thank you to all the roading crews, linesmen and arborists out there working in the cold, especially yesterday, to sort everything out. It was a chaotic day, but great to see so many people offering to help one another in amongst all the mess too!
