In early November, Prospect hosted a discussion on how we can rise to the challenge of connecting more renewables to the energy grid in order to achieve the government’s Net Zero targets. An innovative project in Wales called Make Your Poo Work For You will pilot the feasibility of turning sewage into hydrogen fuel. Alok Sharma, the UK's Business and Energy Secretary, gave a speech on 'Making the global green energy transition a reality' at an energy investors' expo. The BBC reports that work is to begin on a new energy plant that is thought to be the world's first to store energy in the form of liquid air.
