NEXT  Special Edition Newsletter - Celebrating our First Five Years

Kia ora friend of NEXT

NEXT has reached it’s halfway milestone – we are five years into our ten year journey. In that time we have been privileged to meet and work with some of the most inspirational people in New Zealand - all sharing a common vision of making New Zealand a better country for our two greatest assets, our land and our people.

In this newsletter we celebrate our first five years with you, showcasing our investments, sharing our Auckland celebrations, offering some more in depth working of NEXT in our newly published Review, and we highlight the impact of one of our investments in the teacher excellence area.

Thank you for your interest in our foundation, and in strategic philanthropy.  We have learned a lot so far- and are really looking forward to building on that in the next five years.

Yours in education and the environment

Bill Kermode
CEO, NEXT Foundation

Digital Literacy for Teachers

NEXT supported more than 4,000 teachers to upskill in technology through The Mind Lab’s Digital and Collaborative Learning Diploma  - that’s one in every fifteen teachers in New Zealand.  In this story, The Mind Lab Founder Frances Valintine describes it as one of the highlights of her career.
