In their most recent volunteer newsletter, they requested: Chemo Hats WakeMed's Cancer Care is expanding. Please be aware that we currently do not have pediatric cancer patients. Jersey-knitted sewn chemo hats in adult sizes are needed for the summer months. They prefer colors that match cancer ribbon colors. If you knit or crochet, feel free to contribute. Cancer Care needs around 50 adult hats monthly. Here is a YouTube tutorial for a knit beanie pattern. Adult Blankets Any style and size is suitable (30" x 40” to 40" x 50”), but cancer patients particularly appreciate fleece blankets as they help keep them warm during treatments. We constantly require adult blankets for all our patients and gladly welcome quilted, sewn, knitted, crocheted, or taggie blankets in adult patterns.
