Mark Raven steps down as NEAS Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Directors of NEAS today announced that Mr Mark Raven will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of NEAS in late October 2016.

The Board thanked Mr Raven for his significant contribution to NEAS over the past three years.  During his time as Chief Executive Officer, Mark was instrumental in the development and successful implementation of a new Quality Assurance system and the establishment of QALEN, setting NEAS on a clear course as an international leader in Quality Assurance in the English Language Teaching sector.

In commenting on his time at NEAS,  Mark stated that,

"It has been an enormous privilege to lead this wonderful organisation through a period of redirection and to guide the development of a new approach in Quality Assurance, resulting in a redefined role for NEAS in English language teaching.  I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such an extraordinary team of people, and extend my thanks to the Board, Advisory Council, staff and membership with the hope that NEAS continues to flourish into the future.  Having accepted another role as CEO of a successful information technology training company, it is time to hand over the baton to those leading NEAS into its next chapter."

The NEAS Board have commenced recruiting for a new Chief Executive, to take up the leadership of NEAS after Mark's departure, and to drive the implementation of NEAS strategy over the coming years.

NEAS Board Chair Denise Taylor wished Mark Raven the very best for the future and thanked him for his enormous contribution in transforming the organisation.
