Federal Contract Expiry Leaves Sensors Blind. The lapse of the CyberSentry program has left some critical infrastructure operators unable to monitor their networks for threats, officials say. The program, which the government runs to help operators analyze data in their tech environments, expired over the weekend, officials told a congressional hearing Tuesday. (CyberScoop)

Experts Warn On Lapsing Federal Cyber Support. Government plans to shift more responsibility to states for responding to cyber threats could backfire, experts say. The Trump administration signed an executive order in March saying states must manage their cyber risk, but former officials and other experts said that federal support and funding is crucial.
