The MINDSET Challenge &
Carnival 2021
Miss travelling? Reminisce as we explore Around the World – the theme to this year’s MINDSET Challenge & Carnival (TMCC), taking place on Sunday, 7 November 2021! This year, we are changing things up a little due to government restrictions, TMCC is going HYBRID! The race will be conducted at our usual haunt Marina Bay Financial Centre, Tower 1, while the carnival will be held virtually. We will continue to raise funds for our flagship project, DigitalMINDSET, for youths 12 to 21 years with emotional regulations issues due to excessive device usage or cyber gaming.
* All donations made through giving.sg are entitled to 2.5 times tax deduction. Find out more about the tax benefits via IRAS website. Remember to come dressed to the theme and the best dressed will walk away with attractive prizes!
Jardine Matheson & Jardines MINDSET named Organisation of Good (Large Enterprise Category) at the President's Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards 2021
We are proud to share that Jardine Matheson Group companies have been named the Organisation of Good (Large Enterprise Category) at the President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards 2021 for our work in mental health through MINDSET. This year, MINDSET celebrates its 10th year of leading the way and driving change in Singapore’s mental health community and are humbled by the significant progress that it has made. Mental health is an essential part of daily life and is equally as important as physical health. The society and businesses must continue the momentum of creating awareness and understanding of mental health to build a more inclusive society for all.
Mid-Autumn Festival Partnership
In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, our Social Enterprise team were kept busy engaging various Jardine companies for festive giving to their employees. For every Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, mooncake ordered, a set of MINDSET coasters handcrafted by clients from the Singapore Anglican Community Services through its sheltered workshop, was also included as an effort to create more awareness. A huge thank you to Dairy Farm Singapore, Gammon, Jardine Engineering, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, Schindler Lifts, and 7-Eleven for their support this festive season and going the extra mile in contributing to mental health.
L’Oréal Singapore x MINDSET
Virtual Workshop
This year, our Fund Raising team partnered L’Oréal Singapore to provide a virtual skincare workshop where attendees learnt about maskne and skin irritation due to prolonged mask-wearing and how to tackle them. Besides an interactive discussion on optimal solutions for prevention, attendees also received a goodie bag worth S$80 of La Roche-Posay products generously sponsored by L’Oréal. All proceeds raised from this event will go to our flagship project, DigitalMINDSET.
Skills Training for SSA Clients
Our Back to the Workforce team conducted an employment skills training “The Power of LinkedIn” for eight clients from MINDSET Learning Hub. Clients were introduced to LinkedIn and how to make use of the platform to enhance their employability. JAs assisted these clients in setting up their individualised accounts with the content provided by the clients themselves. Clients found the training very engaging and beneficial and look forward to creating more content and updating their profiles regularly.
Jardine Ambassador
of the Quarter
Congratulations to Lin Zhengliang and Chia Jia Yu who were recognised as Jardine Ambassadors of the Quarter! In addition to fulfilling their daily job responsibilities, our JAs never hesitate to go the extra mile in demonstrating their commitment to MINDSET.

Process & System, Assistant Operations Manager
Dairy Farm Singapore
While it was a challenge balancing both his day job and JA tasks, Zhengliang stays committed to his role as a JA, citing that it was mainly achievable due to his boss’ support and trust in him. Despite being a JA in the COVID-19 years which led to his missing out on face-to-face interactions like Fun Days with clients and group bonding sessions with teammates, he expressed gratitude towards the opportunity to meet more people and expand his knowledge in the mental health sector.

While interacting with mental health persons-in-recovery, Jia Yu realised they are just like you and I, and the only time she should “treat them differently” is to express more concern and empathy in understanding their experiences and struggles. Doing more for others also fuelled her passion and being a JA made Jia Yu firmly believe that alone she can only do so little but together we can do so much more for others! She would like to take this opportunity to thank her wonderful Awareness & Outreach team members for the great working relationships and everybody’s hard work in bringing the team’s initiatives to fruition.
